LOUELLA GROOM

It all began with a drawing of a Lion. I remember sitting at the dining room table for hours, determined to get the picture as realistic aspossible. My parents couldn’t believe that I had sat still for so long! I still have that drawing today. A daily reminder of where my passion was born and how lucky I am to be pursuing design as a career.

I studied textile design at Nottingham Trent University and aftergraduation began my career as a freelance designer. I worked for a fabric design company in Sheffield creating prints for varoius homefurnishings, where my love for colour and pattern developed. I have been working as a part of the design team at Inspire Art Licensingfor longer than I care to remember! Some of my favourite times have been accompanying Patrick to trade shows where I loved to see our clients reactions to our work and begin to build up relationships with them.

I live in Nottingham, working from my home studio which I share withmy three dogs Harley, Lily and Ted. Walking them in Sherwood forestis always a source of inspiration and a daily joy. I am always taking photographs in nature and use this as another creative practice.
